Blidworth Welfare were formed in 1926. Since 1999 we have been playing in the Central Midlands Premier Division. The current Chairman is Alan Whitworth who has overseen a number of changes at the club. The club is now an FA Charter Standard club and there is to be a massive overhaul to the changing facilities. This season an under 8’s, under 9’s, under 10’s, under 11’s, under 15’s and under 19’s sides have begun along with the first and reserve team. There is also a Blidworth Welfare FC Sunday side. The first team manager is Dave Hughes who is in his second season as manager. In his first season Blidworth won the Nottinghamshire Intermediate Cup. Michael Wain is the Reserve manager. He is in his first season of management In the reserves and takes charge of a side who won promotion to the Reserves Premier Division last term.
